● Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical
specifications for ServiceNow ITOM and CMDB solutions.
● Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow ITOM and CMDB modules, including Discovery,
Service Mapping, Event Management, and Configuration Management.
● Customize ServiceNow workflows, business rules, UI policies, and notifications to support
ITOM and CMDB processes and automation.
● Configure and maintain the CMDB data model, ensuring accurate and up-to-date configuration
item (CI) information.
● Integrate ServiceNow with other ITOM tools and external platforms using APIs and web
services.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement ITOM and CMDB best
practices, ensuring alignment with industry standards and ITIL processes.
● Conduct thorough testing of ServiceNow configurations and customizations to ensure
high-quality deliverables.
● Provide ongoing support and maintenance for ServiceNow applications, troubleshooting issues
and implementing necessary fixes or enhancements.
● Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow releases and ITOM/CMDB-specific features,
proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement and system optimization.
● Collaborate with other developers, administrators, and business analysts to deliver integrated
solutions that meet the ITOM and CMDB needs of the organization.
● Document technical specifications, user guides, and standard operating procedures for
ServiceNow applications and configurations.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
● 5-10 years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer, with a focus on ITOM and CMDB.
● Strong expertise in ServiceNow ITOM and CMDB modules, including Discovery, Service
Mapping, Event Management, and Configuration Management.
● Proficient in ServiceNow development and configuration, including workflows, business rules,
UI policies, and scripting using JavaScript.
● Experience with ServiceNow integration using APIs and web services.
● Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices related to ITOM and CMDB.
● Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with
stakeholders and technical teams.
● ServiceNow certifications such as Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified
Implementation Specialist (CIS) in ITOM or CMDB are highly desirable.
● Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
