The Occupancy Planning CAD Analyst role is responsible for delivering CAD and Polylining services during the implementation of IWMS/CAFM software. This position is accountable for the ongoing maintenance of CAD drawings as well as the connection of the CAD drawings with the Computer Aided Facility Maintenance/IWMS platform.
Job Details:
Responsibilities:
- Implementation for Client’s CAFM/IWMS software
- Review drawing files within AutoCAD and/or field redline drawings for completeness
- Run routines to check for missing polylines, duplicates, gaps, and overlaps
- Tag spaces with unique identifier
- Create _Arch, _Floor, and _Poly drawings
- Polyline and label room numbers
- Capture required polyline changes
- Link Polylines and SpaceID Blocks
- Upload drawings and published background files to the client account server
- Publish Architectural, Furniture and Column files
- Establish and maintain client master drawing library as needed
- Load data from the drawings (CAD Space Codes, Area, Coordinates)
- Populate the CAFM/IWMS platform with space categories, space types, space standards, room numbers, names and business organization
- Capture required adds or changes to attribution in FMS or other CAFM
- Changes based on field redlines including: Space category, Space type, Space standard, Employee name, Room Name, and Organization code
- Assisting in the implementation of IWMS enhancements
- All other duties and tasks assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Education/training:
- Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or relevant work experience 2 Years of relevant experience
- 3+ years of CAD/CAFM drawing or CAD/CAFM technical and project-related experience. Strong understanding of CAD tools
Skills and knowledge:
- A strong working knowledge of CAD/CAFM/IWMS systems
- Excellent MS skills inducing: Power Point, Excel, Access, Word
- Excellent understanding of CAD/CAFM/IWMS systems and experienced in using its data to deliver projects
Other abilities:
- Experienced in working on multiple CAD/CAFM/IWMS implementations and projects simultaneously and remotely
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Ability to communicate ideas in a concise and summarized manner without personal bias
- Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Ability to self-govern and make sound decisions
- Ability to develop relationships that can lead to long term assignments
